Vlog: Microdermabrasion Review

I wanted to let all of you know how the Microdermabrasion facial went last week.  It's such a girly thing to talk about that I decided to do this post as a video blog.  This is completely unedited, so while it's not real polished, think of it as just you and me just chit chatting!  By the way, I thought I could do this in about 2 minutes, but I'm such a stinkin' talker, I ate up 6 minutes!!!

I've got a couple of things that I'd like to blog about this week that your comments generated.  You all such interesting and varied make up routines that it made me think of the whole philosophy behind cosmetics.  I'd love to explore that a bit.  Also, as I mention in the video, I had my brows done through a method called threading that I want to tell all of you about, if it's unfamiliar to you.  I had never heard of it before I moved here, but it's FABULOUS and incredibly interesting!

So, until next time, much love to you all for stopping by!  Group hug girlies!

  1. First, I love listening to and watching you, Serene - it feels like we're almost in the same room!
Sounds like a very positive experience. I haven't had a professional microdermabrasion yet, but I would, based on your report. In the video, you look absolutely glowing!

    1. I'm pretty cheap too! That's why this was something I asked for as a gift...BUT, now I'm really wanting to continue it for a few more times, so I may have to start setting some dollars aside! Thanks so much girly!

  5. Serene--I love the vlog! Your voice surprised me. I expected a bit of a southern accent. I think you have given me some courage about this procedure...it is something I read about avidly every time I come across a post about it. And your skin looks radiant in the video.

    1. Thanks Terri! Though I was born and raised in the south, I've lived all over the country and so much of my accent has dissipated. I kind of like having a generic voice!

  7. Great vlog! So did you have this done at a dermatologists office or a day spa type place?

    1. Jane, I did it at a "spa" type place....but it wasn't necessarily spa like. The woman who owns it (a one woman operation) does facials, manicures, pedicures, and threading. It was FABULOUS and very reasonable at $60. My sister has had this same facial done and had a lot of acne scarring and sun damage. She said she can DEFINITELY tell an improvement. In her area, the facial is a bit more expensive at $85. Same amount of time and facial, but it's just more expensive where she lives. If you give it a try, please let me know how it turns out!

  11. Serene, your voice is beautiful and great vlog! I am a believer in microderm - it also prevents skin cancer, which is another plus. It's the only thing I have done to my skin besides the routine cleansing and moisturizing that I do on a daily basis. I have decided to age naturally, but don't feel judgmental of other choices. After all, we're all in this together.

  19. Worth reading valuable information you have shared about microdermabrasion.
Flawless skin and attractive facial features alone with microdermabrasion is not possible. Other treatments like facelift in dubai, rhinoplasty in dubai, buccal fat removal in dubai helps in tightening of loose skin, removal of excess fats, enhancing of jawline, reshaping and resizing of nose according to the proportion of face.
