Sermon of the Day:

Friends, can I get your ear for a moment?  Do you feel a longing in your heart to get your pretty on?  Are you TIRED of wearing those same ol' evil clothes that try to TRAP you in the bonds of  "so so"?  Do you feel the stirring to revamp your style, but that stirrin' stops when it gets to your wallet?   Can I get an AMEN?

Brothers and Sistahs (alright, mostly SISTAHS!), you can BREAK these ties that bind you!  You can be RELEASED from the CHAINS of spending all your money on high priced clothes!    The answer dear people is right in front of you.  The truth has made itself known!!  SOMEBODY!  Help me! PLEASE!  There's one word.  One. Word. my dear friends you need to know!

Moral of the Sermon:

For just over $10, I felt like a million bucks!!!  Now THAT'S just a DANG good return on investment!!!

Title Lyrics:  Driving by Everything but the Girl

  1. Amen! I'm with ya, sistah. I've been preaching about the Gospel of Thrift for years now.

  2. oh I just love your hair! and your gloves they go great with your outfit!

  3. That is such a cute outfit! Great shoes - and the Vera Wang top is perfect. Cute sermon. Thanks!

  4. Thanks for the "sermon" of the day. Yes I'm glad I'm a thrifty girl, I just can't bring myself to spend on expensive clothes. And you, such a classy and elegant look for just $10. You're the best! Lovely gloves by the way.

  5. Amen...preach it! You look fabulous...gorgeous hair...I would so wear this whole outfit! In my current economically challenged life, I will be thrifting more! And I agree with you on gloves. I wish in Texas, women could wear gloves and hats more...or would wear them more...such great classic accessories! You look amazing, Serene!!

  6. Just found your blog and absolutely love it!! You look great.

  7. Thanks you guys! I hope I didn't sound TOO preachy! And thanks Becky for visiting!!! I'm so glad you like my blog! ~Serene

  8. Oh AMEN, sistah, I hear you. Your hair is fantastic and I love your whole look, very ladylike with the gloves with a touch of bada$$ with the buckled clogs. xoxoxoxo

  9. You are looking fabulous and love the gloves. I have a huge mostly vintage glove collection that I purchased at estate sales. They always add interest to an outfit.

  10. I love your bouncy curls in this post! The hair is so pretty!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! ~Serene
