I'm completely schizo about this outfit. One minute I'm loving it and the next, I'm hating it. This morning when I put it on, I was completely feelin' it. I had already written this blog in my head. It was to be entitled "Evolution of an Outfit". By the end of the day, I wanted to rip it off my body! I felt overwhelmed with fabric. Then after I voted and my daughter told me that I look cute, I started feeling it again. However, my rule of thumb is "If I don't love it, I don't wear it". So, even though I just thrifted this skirt not too long ago, I think I may put it up for sale soon. I'm fashion fickle right now!
On the plus side, I ran by a local thrift store and picked up 2 dresses and a pin for $4. One of the dresses is seemingly not me at all. Lately I find myself so drawn to really interesting pattern and in the past, I've always been anti pattern. I've decided I'll just ride the wave while it lasts, and then I'm sure I'll be on to some other personal trend. By the way, my video choice today is "Sweet Baby", a slow song from the 80s. I came across it today and as soon as it started playing, I felt like I was transported back to my high school gym, lights dimmed and boys asking the girls to slow dance. You put your arms around the neck of either your boyfriend or a guy you've had a crush on and get heady off the smell of his Chaps cologne! Ahhhhhhhhhh....young love......there's nothing like it!

ReplyDeleteSometimes feel that way about outfits too, you like them when you leave the house but as the day progresses you aren't so sure how you feel about them.
I think its a nice & stylish outfit.
I think it's a lovely outfit! I especially love the skirt...such a fantastic color! It makes me think of sun drenched Mediterranean days...not that I've had too many of those but still I can dream.:)
